Something For The Garden?

A new idea that seems to be cultivating these days, is to have your ashes made into something that can take pride of place in your garden.

It wasn’t too long ago when having your ashes scattered under a tree in the garden, seemed somewhat avant garde. But this idea always posed the question - what if you moved, would you take the tree with you?

A company called Cremation Solutions offers the opportunity of having your ashes placed inside a Birdhouse as an attractive and mobile alternative.

As birds come and go with the seasons and build their nest in these sacred vessels and raise their young and so on, the cycle of life continues

Staying on the bird theme The Urn Store offers Bird Baths that double as urns.

The same company offer Sundial Urns too. The Sundial has a special compartment for your ashes and an opportunity to have a personalised bronze plate.

As always, we at MFF love anything that smiles in the face of death and thus, we love the idea of having ones ashes placed in a good ‘ole fashioned garden gnome. Why be dull we ask ourselves?

Hmmm-I’d really like my ashes placed in a huge plastic dog turd laid elegantly on the lawn-do they do that kind of thing?
