No leg to stand on
A South Carolina funeral home was ordered closed today by a judge after a brief hearing concerning the treatment of one of their cadavers.
In 2004, one of the employees was having trouble fitting a Mr. James Hines (who was 6′7″) into his coffin. He decided to take matters into his own hands and came up with the crafty idea of using a chainsaw to hack his legs off.
This matter was brought to the attention of the police in April, when a former employee finally came forward. The body was exhumed and the story was confirmed, leaving the owner of the funeral parlor with…..no leg to stand on.

There’s a great new report from The Wall Street Transcript that has lots of details on the economics of funeral homes. You can get a free interview with this link:

Just trying find somewhere to let funky funeral know that their “contact us” is not working, as I’ve been trying to send a message and just get “The code you entered was incorrect. Go back and try again.” Once it’s working, would like to send a message regarding my site http://www.elementerraurns.com in case you’re interested.
